NEWS BRIEF: Canadian producer and distributor Brain Power Studio has optioned the screen adaptation rights to The Flower Girl Bride, marking the second time it has picked up rights to a book by bestselling author Dana Corbit Nussio.

The book tells the story of a flower girl and a ring bearer who once snuck a first kiss under a reception table and then meet again 25 years later as jaded adults.

The option comes after Brain Power Studio adapted Nussio’s Harlequin novel Child in a Manger in 2019. The resulting film, Baby in a Manger, was licensed to UPtv in the US, Super Channel’s Heart & Home in Canada, Channel 5 in the UK, M6 in France and an additional 50 territories.
