Boyzone docuseries to get one-off Sky follow-up ahead of group’s reunion gigs

Boyzone: One for the Road is again produced by Curious Films

UK pay TV broadcaster Sky has commissioned a one-off follow-up doc to its Boyzone docuseries ahead of the boyband’s reunion gigs this summer.

The original three-part docuseries, Boyzone: No Matter What, premiered on Sky and streamer Now last year. Sky said the series was a “phenomenal success” that “reignited global affection” for the 90s boyband.

Now, as Boyzone prepare for two concerts at the Emirates Stadium in London this summer, set to be their last ever performances, Sky is taking fans behind the scenes in single doc Boyzone: One for the Road.

The doc is produced by Curious Films, which produced the docuseries, directed by Caroline Sciama and executive produced by Curious Films’ CEO and founder Dov Freedman and creative director and founder Charlie Russell.

Freedman said: “The response to the series was incredible, breaking records for the Sky Docs team. I think audiences really engaged in a celebrity doc with such raw truth and honesty. We’re incredibly privileged to be working with the boys again and telling the story of their final chapter.”
