Guru Studio’s True & the Rainbow Kingdom

MIPCOM: WarnerMedia’s Boomerang in France and Africa and TG4 in Ireland are among the international broadcasters to have picked up animated preschool series True & the Rainbow Kingdom.

Produced by Canada’s Guru Studio, the series, which debuted on Netflix in 2017, follows a bright and resilient girl and her feline best friend as they help the whimsical citizens of a colourful universe.

Deals have also been secured with Clan RTVE (Spain), Carousel (Russia), Mediacorp Okto (Singapore), EBC YOYO (Taiwan), Spacetoon (Middle East), Channel 4 (Finland) and Pixel (Ukraine), the company announced this week at Mipcom.

Having previously acquired multiple seasons of the series, Gloobinho (Brazil), NET (Indonesia) and Nine Network (Australia) have acquired season four.

Jonathan Abraham, VP of sales and business development at Guru Studios, said: “True is building a massive global fanbase with its message of empowering kids to be mindful, compassionate and courageous. With the show performing extremely well on top linear channels, we’re continuing to see enthusiasm from new broadcast partners all over the world.”
