Bobby & Harriet Get Married stars expecting new show ahead of first child

Viceland and Comedy Central reality sitcom Bobby & Harriet Get Married

Comedians Harriet Kemsley and Bobby Mair are planning a follow-up to their reality sitcom Bobby & Harriet Get Married based around the birth of their first baby.

The UK-based comedy duo are now planning a second season about Kemsley’s pregnancy, with the baby due in December.

Stu Richards and Michelle Singer’s Rockerdale Studios has appointed distributor Rocket Rights as the show’s sales rep and pre-sale broker.

Bobby & Harriet Get Married combined scripted elements around the real marriage of Mair and Kemsley, who planned their nuptials across the six-part series, which aired on Viceland and Comedy Central in the UK in 2020.

Rocket Rights, the UK distributor from David and Matthew Frank, said it is currently seeking global homes for both seasons.

Guest stars in the show include the couple’s friends and fellow comedians Katherine Ryan and Romesh Ranganathan.

The second season comes after Kemsley has recorded her Live at the Apollo debut while Canadian Mair has had success in ITV2 and The CW’s mystery reality series Killer Camp.

Singer said: “Theirs is an unlikely love story, packed with universal truths about relationships and it just goes to show that there really is someone for everyone out there.”
