Boat Rocker, CBC, WBD expand Dino Ranch universe with Island Explorers spin-off

Industrial Brothers and Boat Rocker’s Dino Ranch: Island Explorers

Toronto-headquartered studio Boat Rocker, Canadian pubcaster CBC/Radio-Canada and Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) have commissioned a new iteration of the popular kids’ animated series Dino Ranch: Island Explorers.

The 52×11’ spin-off is set to air on broadcast network CBC, streamer CBC Gem, CBC Kids YouTube, ICI Télé, ICI TOU.TV and Radio-Canada.ca in Canada and WBD’s Cartoonito across Europe, Middle East and Africa in 2026.

Dino Ranch: Island Explorers is produced by Industrial Brothers and Boat Rocker and created by the former’s owner and chief creative officer, Matt Fernandes.

Boat Rocker will handle international distribution and consumer products, with Boat Rocker-owned studio Jam Filled Entertainment handling animation services.

The new iteration of the series sees the Cassidy Clan trading their cowboy hats for explorer hats as they head to the mysterious and exotic Dino Island.

The original version of Dino Ranch has been sold into more than 170 territories, including the US (Disney Junior, Disney+), Latin America (Disney Junior), UK (Tiny Pop), France (Gulli), Germany (Super RTL), Spain (Clan) and Italy (Cartoonito).
