BluTV resurrects police drama Behzat Ç

Behzat Ç is returning to screens after a break of six years

Turkish broadcaster Kanal D’s OTT platform BluTV is bringing back local drama series Behzat Ç with original producer Inter Medya.

The show, which has been away from Turkish TV screens for the past six years having run for three seasons, will return for a fourth season later this year.

Inter Medya will produce the series and distribute it worldwide. It follows a dysfunctional police team in Ankara and its discredited police chief as they fight crime.

Behzat Ç is one of numerous Turkish drama series to have been acquired by Netflix from Inter Medya.

“BluTV tells great and rich stories that reflect our rich culture and encourage conversation. With its edgy character, we believe that Behzat Ç’s spirit is appealing for BluTV’s content strategies and its target audience,” said Deniz Sasmaz, head of content acquisitions and productions at BluTV.

BluTV launched its first original scripted productions on the international market in 2017.
