Blue Ant taps OTF exec for copros

Canada-based Blue Ant International has appointed an LA-based senior VP from fellow distributor Off the Fence to focus on securing coproductions and sales.

In the newly created role of senior VP of international coproductions and sales, Ludo Dufour will work on copros, co-ventures, pre-sales, new business development and distribution licensing in the US, operating from Blue Ant’s LA office. He will start on June 24.

Dufour has 13 years’ experience working within sales, marketing, business affairs and acquisitions. He was previously MD at Dutch distributor Off the Fence, where he focused on sales and co-financing specialist factual content and premium documentaries.

Prior to this, he worked at MTV Networks International (now Viacom Media Networks International) in communications, programme sales and social responsibility.

“Ludo’s track record of building strong relationships with producers and buyers across all platforms and his passion for the industry make him an ideal addition to our team,” said Blue Ant exec VP Solange Attwood.

“His experience will help further our growth in the US by bringing a diverse set of expertise to the table.”

Dufour’s departure from OTF comes soon after the company was acquired by Germany’s ZDF Enterprises earlier this year.
