Blue Ant secures Nat Geo, Globosat sales

Blue has been licensed by Nat Geo across Latin America

National Geographic, Globosat, Syfy and Quebecor Content are among a number of international broadcasters to have acquired content from Canada’s Blue Ant International (BAI).

National Geographic has licensed a number of factual titles ahead of Natpe Miami later this month. Airport Below Zero (10×60’, Our House Media), Colombia’s Wild Coast (2×60’, Blink Films) and Blue (1×90’, Northern Pictures) will be available throughout Nat Geo’s Latin American, Caribbean and US-Hispanic networks.

Brazilian cablenet Globosat has acquired the third season of BAI’s own Great Blue Wild (18×60’), while Mexico’s Canal 22 has bagged Who Killed Ghandi? (2×60’, Karma Films), Deadly Australians (4×60’, Wildbear Entertainment) and Wild Latin America (3×60’, Blink Films).

In the US, Syfy has licenced the shortform animated series Don’t Feed the Humans (17×5’, Look Mom! Productions), while BYUtv has acquired the third season of Best Cake Wins (30×30’, Architect Films), and Reelz has renewed its run of Celebrity Legacies (26×60’, CMJ Productions).

Meanwhile, Canadian streaming service Corco has picked up a series of BAI titles. The first season of Sarah 101 (13×30, SRH Productions), S2 of Strange Creatures (6×30’, Blue Ant Studios), S3 of Pick a Puppy (8×30’, Rhino Content) and S3 of Fearless in the Kitchen (13×30’, Fusion Television) have all been added to the streamer’s catalogue.

CBC’s documentary channel has also bagged a title, adding Cold Valley (4×60’, Pixcom Productions and Saloon Media) to its offering.

Canadian French-language network SRC Network has acquired S5-7 of Hope for Wildlife (39×60, Arcadia Entertainment), while its specialty channel Explora has picked up the first season of Dogs with Extraordinary Jobs (5×50’, Oxford Scientific Films).

Finally, French-language outlet Quebecor Content has added S1 of Orangutan Jungle School (10×60’, NHNZ), Gary & His Demons (8×30’, Look Mom! Productions)and Blue to its programming.
