Blue Ant Media unveils key promotions within senior leadership team

Blue Ant Media in Canada has made three key promotions to its senior leadership team, with Jamie Schouela, Carlyn Staudt and Mitch Dent handed new roles.

Schouela has been named chief operating officer, having previously served as president of global channels and media, and will lead the company’s M&A and business development.

Executive VP of global channels and streaming Staudt is now president of global channels and streaming and will continue to oversee the company’s international channels business, which includes Love Nature, Declassified, HauntTV, Total Crime, Homeful and Love Pets.

She will also continue overseeing the growth of Blue Ant Media’s worldwide channel footprint across all platforms, including FAST, SVoD, AVoD, YouTube and pay TV.

Dent has assumed the role of president of Canadian Media having served as executive VP, consumer shows, media sales and publishing at Blue Ant Media for eight years.

All three roles will report to Michael MacMillan, CEO at Blue Ant Media. Schouela and Dent will continue to operate from Toronto, while Staudt will continue to be based in Washington DC.

Blue Ant said the leadership changes are “aimed at supporting the company’s future business development, while also powering growth across the company’s global channels and Canadian operations.”

MacMillan said: “These strategic promotions underscore the proven business acumen and operational strength of our senior team at Blue Ant Media, positioning the company for continued growth and enhanced value creation.

“Their leadership will be crucial as we build upon our incredible momentum and pave the way for further expansion.”

Blue Ant Studios recently expanded its third-party distribution business with the acquisition of a package of factual content from Red Bull Studios.
