Blue Ant Media strikes FAST channel and volume content deal with Pluto TV for US

Love Nature’s returning series Wildlife ER

MIPCOM: International content studio, distributor and channel operator Blue Ant Media has struck a FAST channel and volume content package deal with Pluto TV for the US market.

The deal, unveiled here at Mipcom, will see the group’s channel brands Love Nature, dedicated to wildlife and nature, and home renovation-focused Homeful both launch as dedicated FAST channels on Pluto TV in the US this fall.

The deal marks Blue Ant Media’s first FAST channel launch on Pluto TV in the US, and builds on their existing channel partnerships in Canada, the UK, Latin America and EMEA for the channels Homeful, HauntTV, NatureTime, Declassified, Love Pets and Total Crime.

In addition, Pluto TV has also licensed a VoD package amounting to hundreds of hours of multi-genre programming from Blue Ant Studios’ catalogue, which significantly expands Blue Ant Media’s existing content licensing deal with Pluto TV.

The pact with Pluto TV was brokered by Julio Sobral, senior VP of channel distribution at Blue Ant Media, and Bryan Gabourie, senior VP of international sales and partnerships at Blue Ant Studios, working together across the group’s channels and content distribution activities.

Shows in Love Nature’s line-up include returning series Wildlife ER (6×60’); New Kids in the Wild (5×60’), which spotlights the first crucial months in the lives of five baby animals; and Battle of the Alphas (12×30’), which explores the science behind animal conflict.

Homeful’s line-up covers property sales, renovation and transformation series, including Holmes on Homes (S1-7) and Holmes Makes it Right (S1-2) from TV home renovation celebrity Mike Holmes.
