Blue Ant Media promotes Junner, Harrick, looks to continue FAST expansion

Canada’s Blue Ant Media has promoted Craig Junner to senior VP of programming and content strategy, and Andrea Harrick to VP of content acquisitions, both at the company’s Global Media arm.

Blue Ant said the promotions come as the producer, distributor and channel operator expands in the FAST space with the launch of free streaming channels in the US and Canada.

Junner, who was promoted to VP of programming in 2020, joined Blue Ant in 2011. In his new role, he will continue to lead the programming strategy for the company’s portfolio of pay TV and FAST channels.

Harrick, previously director of acquisitions, also joined Blue Ant in 2011. In her new role, she will continue to lead acquisitions for the company’s global portfolio.

“In less than one year, Blue Ant Media’s expanding FAST portfolio has seen us building four new media brands – HauntTV, Total Crime, Homeful and HistoryTime – and distributing them alongside Love Nature’s free streaming channel,” said Jamie Schouela, president of Global Media.

“Craig and Andrea’s promotions are not only a reflection of their leadership in Blue Ant’s current content strategy, but also the work ahead as we continue to create new free streaming channels for platforms around the world.”
