Blue Ant makes raft of pre-ATF sales

Discovery and A&E Network India are among a host of broadcasters in Asia to have picked up factual, fact ent and kids’ programmes from Blue Ant International.

Ahead of the Asian Television Forum this week, Discovery has licensed two series for its Pan Asian network: seasons one and two of Orangutan Jungle School (20×60′, NHNZ) and cooking show John Torode’s Middle East (10×30′, Blink Films).

Discovery in Japan has picked up Animal Senses (6×30′, Blue Ant Studios), while renewing Dino Hunt (4×60′, Cream Productions).

A&E Network India, meanwhile, has bought baking competition series Best Cake Wins (20×30′, Architect Films).

In South Korea, MBC has picked up Secret Life of the Koala (2×60′, Blink Films), while YTN Science has bought S1-2 of Wildlife Icons (8×60′ and 6×60′, Off the Fence).

Also in South Korea, KBS has bought ocean- and marine life-themed documentary Blue (1×60′, Northern Pictures) and Animals at Play (2×60′, Offspring Films).

Animals at Play has also been licensed in Hong Kong by TVB, along with other animal-themed series Animals Decoded (3×60′) and Supersenses (3×60′, Blink Films), as well as kids-focused When I Grow Up! (26×11′, Riverbank Pictures).

In Thailand, True Vision has bought kids series Make it Big, Make it Small (7×30′, Blue Ant Studios) and fact ent series Haunted Case Files (16×60′, Our House Media) and The Weather Files (8×60′, Blue Ant Studios).

True Vision also picked up S1-2 of The Inspectors (44×30′, Litton Entertainment), which follows the story of a teenage boy genius left paralysed after a car accident, and S1-2 of eco-friendly home programme Sarah Off the Grid (12×60′, Alibi Entertainment).
