Blips to splat onto CiTV this autumn.

Teletubbies producer Ragdoll has unveiled its latest production, Blips, a live-action comedy for five- to six-year-olds, set for CiTV’s autumn slate.

Combining live action and cgi animation, Blips will launch at 15.45 on September 29. The show focuses on the animated Blips, who aim to turn the world of Mr Perfect upside down.

Despite Mr Perfect’s efforts to demonstrate his expertise in a number of occupations, the Blips thwart every move he makes by bouncing, catapulting, splatting and sticking onto his perfect world.

Blips is the latest addition to CiTV’s autumn line-up which also includes the Stephen Fry-narrated preschool show Pocoyo, Aardman copro Planet Sketch and new series of top-rating My Parents Are Aliens and The Giblet Boys.

Anne Wood, founder and creative director of Ragdoll, said: “This is an exciting project for my entire team. Blips is an engaging visual comedy full of silliness and irrepressible energy that allows children to delight in predicting and anticipating the chaos the Blips are sure to create for poor Mr Perfect.”
