Blink49 appoints Kate Pfetsch to VP role within brand-funded content studio

Toronto-headquartered Blink49 Studios has appointed Kate Pfetsch as VP, partnerships, at its recently launched branded studio.

Pfetsch most recently worked at international hotel brand Marriott International as global senior director of content strategy and head of its content studio. Before that, she was supervising producer for branded entertainment at Discovery Communications.

In her new role, she will be based in New York and report to Adam Puchalsky, who leads Blink49’s brand-funded studio as president.

Pfetsch joins the company as it gears up for the 2025 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Earlier this week, it was announced that Bell Media was making a strategic investment in Blink49, joining anchor investor Fifth Season.

“Kate is a world-class creative and strategist with a proven ability to bridge brand objectives with premium entertainment,” said Puchalsky. “Her leadership will be a key asset as we continue building a division dedicated to delivering innovative, culturally resonant brand-funded content.”
