Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni dispute doc heading to 5 and Investigation Discovery

Paramount-owned 5 (fka: Channel 5) and Warner Bros Discovery’s true crime cablenet Investigation Discovery (ID) have announced quick-turnaround celebrity-skewing doc He Said, She Said: Blake Lively vs Justin Baldoni.

Ian Russell

Made by ITN Productions (ITNP), the factual title unpacks the ongoing legal saga of former Gossip Girl star Lively, who accused director Baldoni of sexual misconduct on the set of his 2024 romantic drama film, It Ends with Us.

Baldoni has since filed a lawsuit against Lively, alleging extortion, defamation and breach of contract, seeking at least US$400m in damages.

He Said, She Said… will premiere on 5 tonight, with a shorter version of the doc titled In Dispute scheduled to screen on ID and Max later this month. The news was first revealed by Deadline.

Ian Russell, head of international programmes, ITNP, said: “Produced by ITN’s transatlantic team this special is a timely and in-depth telling of the Hollywood story which has captured the global zeitgeist.”

Denise Seneviratne, commissioning editor, 5, said: “This story has captivated the world, perpetuated by social media which is still gaining momentum. It feels really pertinent for us as a channel to be making this film within the context of #MeToo.”
