Big Media presells docuseries Danger Decoded and Fatal Engineering to Nat Geo

Danger Decoded ventures into the world’s most dangerous places.

Disney-owned factual brand National Geographic has pre-bought documentary series Danger Decoded, which explores the world’s most perilous places.

The 8×60’ series is currently being made by New York-based factual specialist Big Media in coproduction with NTV, RMC Story and Wildbear.

Big Media also revealed further deals for titles on its slate, including Fatal Engineering (6×60’, Big Media and NTV), which has been acquired by Nat Geo Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Canada’s Blue Ant. Nat Geo CEE has also licensed Fatal Forecast (8×60’) and Hitler’s Gold (4×60’).

Finally, Italy’s Rai has taken Destruction Decoded (8×60’, Big Media with RMC), which explores the impact of floods, earthquakes, industrial accidents and more.

Danny Wilk, president of Big Media, said: “2025 is off to an incredible start in terms of global sales. We’re delighted to be working so closely with Nat Geo’s teams around the world and other top-tier partners like Rai TV and Blue Ant. These deals represent a great mix of new and established shows and we’re confident they will be a hit with viewers in all of these regions like our prior originals.”
