Rivadeneira will be tasked with expanding Beyond Productions’ factual slate, working alongside Mike Krupat, senior VP of development and production. Both Rivadeneira and Krupat will report to Beyond Productions president, John Luscombe.

The company’s current slate includes Hulu dating format Back in The Groove with Taye Diggs, Discovery franchise MythBusters and HGTV reality series My Lottery Dream Home.

Rivadeneira has spent the past three years working at Vox Media Studios and Group Nine Studios, which merged earlier this year. During that time, he shepherded projects and worked with broadcasters and streamers such as Hulu, Netflix, Discovery+, HBO Max and Food Network.

Prior to that, he was VP of unscripted development at Mitú and he has also held development roles at Wilshire Studios and Fremantle.

In addition to Back in The Groove for Hulu, Beyond Productions’ LA office has recently sold and produced ABC’s Pooch Perfect with Rebel Wilson, Food Network’s No Recipe Road Trip with the Try Guys and Discovery+’s Tiny Food Fight.

“Joe is a fantastic addition to our US-based development and sales team, bringing additional factual expertise that perfectly complements our current development strengths,” said Luscombe.

“We are well-placed to further expand our slate and meet the growing demand for fresh and innovative unscripted content in the rapidly changing US market.”

The company’s other credits include The Invisibles for Nat Geo/Disney+, White Rabbit Project for Netflix and Curse of Akakor for Facebook Watch.
