Beyblade series bursts into NZ

D-Rights’ action toon Beyblade Burst

A broadcaster in New Zealand has acquired the first season of animated children’s action series Beyblade Burst, created by D-Rights and produced by OLM in Japan.

TVNZ will air the series following a deal brokered by US distributor Sunrights’ Australia and New Zealand agent The Fusion Agency.

The show follows an elementary school student who is a prodigy at the game of Beyblade as he competes in a national tournament.

Successful Japanese brand Beyblade was developed by D-Rights, which is owned by ad firm Asatsu-DK, and spawned the Hasbro Beyblade merchandising line in the US.
