Beta Kids & YA heads to MipJunior with Astrid Lindgren’s Seacrow Island

Spanish feature Let’s Have a Great Time!

Beta in Germany’s youth-focused label Beta Kids & YA is taking a slate of series and films to MipJunior this weekend, including Astrid Lindgren’s Seacrow Island.

Produced by SF Studios and Astrid Lindgren AB for Sweden’s SVT, the 6×27’ series is based on the late Swedish author Astrid Lindgren’s children’s book Seacrow Island.

Other series on Beta Kids & YA’s MipJunior slate are Rebound (20×8’15’), from Fenomen Studios and Null47; mental health-focused Stable-ish (6×30’), from Rat Pack Filmproduktion for Germany’s ARD; and CGM Films’ Skam Croatia (30×20’), the Croatian remake of NRK in Norway’s teen series Skam.

Cyber bullying-focused series Shadow Leaks (6×45’), meanwhile, is based on the YA crime novel of the same name and comes from Dreamtool Entertainment for ARD and VoD platform Funk.

Produced by Neuesuper for Germany’s RTL is Pumuckl’s New Adventure (26×25’), an adaptation of classic German IP Pumuckl.

Beta Kids & YA’s film line-up is headlined by Spanish feature Let’s Have a Great Time!, which is described as a mix of High School Musical and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

Other films include Momo, Robin & the Hoods, School of Magical Animals 3 and trilogy Håkan Hurricane.
