BBC1 scores Ferguson doc

BBC1 in the UK has ordered a one-off documentary about former Manchester United Football Club manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Sir Alex Ferguson: Secrets of Success (working title) is being produced by London-based indie Juniper TV.

The 1×60′ doc will explore Ferguson’s role at the club and will reveal how, under his stewardship, Manchester United became one of the world’s biggest clubs.

The show, slated to air later this year, is being exec produced by Juniper CEO Samir Shah. BBC Worldwide is the global distributor.

In other news, BBC1 has commissioned a third season of The Housing Enforcers for its daytime and primetime schedules.

Twofour will work on a 20×45’ season for daytime and a 3×60’ reversion for the evening, with host Matt Allwright again joining councils around the country to confront lousy landlords and nightmare neighbours.
