BBC1, Penny Lane form band with Barlow

I’m With The Band follows Barlow’s YouTube series The Crooner Sessions

UK public broadcaster BBC1 has ordered a one-off music show hosted by Gary Barlow from UK prodco Penny Lane Entertainment.

I’m With The Band (1×60’) will see the former Take That frontman assemble a supergroup to perform and have some light-hearted conversations about music.

The house band is led by Barlow and features Jamie Cullum, James Bay, Mica Paris, McFly’s Tom Fletcher and session musicians Danya Fisher and Donavan Hepburn. Guy Chambers, best known for his work with Robbie Williams, will also join the band.

Singer Anne-Marie, DJ Nathan Dawe, rapper MoStack and Craig David will also feature as guests collaborating with the band.

The show builds on Barlow’s YouTube series The Crooner Sessions, which sees him collaborate with famous artists all over the world.

Former X Factor showrunner Mark Sidaway is an executive producer for the show alongside Lee Connolly of Penny Lane. Penny Lane was set up by the UK’s Spun Gold TV in 2018.
