NEWS BRIEF: BBC Two in the UK has commissioned a second season of its factual series The Secret Genius of Modern Life, produced by BBC Studios’ Glasgow-based Science Unit and hosted by Professor Hannah Fry.

The 6×60’ second run will return to the UK pubcaster this autumn revealing the stories and technology behind everyday items including the key component in vacuum cleaners developed for a secret atomic bomb lab and how South Korean sausages shed new light on the inner workings of our smartphones.
