NEWS BRIEF: UK pubcaster the BBC has commissioned a two-part Christmas special of long-running period drama Call the Midwife.

The 2×60’ special is produced by All3Media’s Neal Street Productions for BBC One and iPlayer, in coproduction with PBS in the US. It will precede season 14 of the series, which will premiere in early 2025. BBC Studios distributes globally.
