BBC Three confirms interim channel editor Nasfim Haque as head of content

UK pubcaster the BBC has appointed Nasfim Haque as head of content for its youth-skewing channel BBC Three.

Nasfim Haque

Haque has been interim channel editor of BBC Three since February last year and will now lead the channel’s commissioning and editorial on a daily basis.

The news comes after former BBC Three controller and editor-in-chief Fiona Campbell was promoted to controller of youth audience for BBC iPlayer and BBC Three last month.

Prior to her appointment as interim channel editor for BBC Three, Haque was a commissioning editor in factual entertainment, responsible for shows such as Meet the Khans and James Arthur: Out of Our Minds for BBC Three, Tan France: Beauty & the Bleach for BBC Two and the forthcoming Scarlett’s Driving School for BBC One.

Haque started her career as a production trainee at BBC Wales, working at BBC bases in London, Manchester and Birmingham before moving to the independent sector where she worked across production and development for companies such as Two Four, Century Films and Love Productions, plus a stint at Channel 4 commissioning.

She then returned to the corporation as BBC Three’s digital commissioner, bringing relationship series Eating with my Ex to the channel as well as delivering shortform series Things Not to Say.
