BBC takes deep dive with The Man Who Loves Kelp

The Man Who Loves Kelp focuses on Eric Smith

NEWS BRIEF: UK pubcaster the BBC has commissioned natural history one-off documentary The Man Who Loves Kelp (working title) for its Our Lives factual strand on BBC One.

Made by science and wildlife specialist prodco Big Wave Production, the 1×30’ film tells the story of 73-year-old free diver Eric Smith, who campaigned to restore a depleted underwater forest off the south coast of England. The Man Who Loves Kelp is executive produced by Sarah Cunliffe and was commissioned by Diana Hare for BBC One. It is scheduled for broadcast in the autumn.
