BBC Studios ups Eve Frederick to senior VP of production in LA

BBC Studios has promoted Eve Frederick to senior VP of production at its LA-based production arm.

Eve Frederick

The promotion comes after Frederick helped get a raft of unscripted BBC Studios titles off the ground, ranging from originals to US adaptations of popular international formats.

Frederick, who was most recently VP of production for BBC Studios in LA, heads the production teams working on Life Below Zero for National Geographic, Murder Among the Mormons for Netflix, Ex-Rated for Peacock and Top Gear America for MotorTrend, among others.

Her other credits for BBC Studios include Port Protection and Breaking Bobby Bones for National Geographic and Texicanas for Bravo.

Before joining BBC Studios in 2018, Frederick helped grow the LA-based branch of Lip Sync Battle producer Matador Content, where she developed series for Viacom, HBO, ABC, Facebook, National Geographic, Syfy, AMC, GSN, A&E and Oxygen.

Valerie Bruce, general manager of BBC Studios in LA, said of Frederick: “Over the past two years throughout the pandemic, she has skilfully managed a multitude of rapidly shifting circumstances. Eve’s production expertise, her commitment to our crews as well as to the creative vision for our series, and her focus on advancing sustainability are vital to our Los Angeles production business.”
