BBC Studios strikes Big Deal

BBC Studios has signed London-based independent production company Big Deal Films to a first-look deal.

The two-year partnership will give the commercial arm of the UK pubcaster the first option on distributing Big Deal’s programming slate.

Launched in 2014, Big Deal Films focuses on producing factual programming and formats for black, Asian and minority ethnic audiences.

The company has previously produced Sending Money Home for The One Show on BBC1, Disabled Fight Club for Channel 4 and The Things I See for VoD platform BBC iPlayer.
