BBC Studios, NBCU, DR and NRK join buyers of Paramount+ thriller series The Ex-Wife

S2 of The Ex-Wife recently began on Paramount+ in the UK

BBC Studios (BBCS), NBCUniversal (NBCU), Norway’s NRK and Denmark’s DR are among the latest networks and streamers to acquire both seasons of Paramount+ psychological thriller series The Ex-Wife.

BBCS has bought the drama for SVoD platforms BBC First in Asia and BBC Player in Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan. NBCU International Networks and Direct-to-Consumer has picked it up for Latin America.

As well as NRK and DR, the other European broadcasters to acquire the series are Eesti in Estonia and MTV Networks for France and French-speaking territories.

Recent single-season deals include Pumpkin Film in China and VR Films in India, which acquired S1, while S2 will launch this year on BritBox in the US, Paramount+ in Australia, TV4 in Sweden, OSN in the Middle East and Pickbox in Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.

Coproduced by Clapperboard Studios, BlackBox MultiMedia and Night Train Media, The Ex-Wife, recently began S2 on Paramount+ in the UK. The new run is a four-part follow up to S1, which is based on Jess Ryder’s book of the same name, and picks up three years after its conclusion.

All3Media International has the global distribution rights to the series outside the UK and Ireland, and has secured broadcast partners in more than 80 territories so far.
