BBC Studios hires RDF director of production Katie Brewer-Frankl

BBC Studios has appointed RDF’s former director of production Katie Brewer-Frankl to the same post within its factual entertainment and events division.

Katie Brewer-Frankl

Brewer-Frankl is leaving Banijay-owned RDF to take up the role at BBC Studios Productions, the production division of the UK pubcaster’s commercial arm.

At RDF, she oversaw a group of labels including Fizz and Little Wonder and a production slate spanning titles like Anton Ferdinand: Football Racism & Me, Tipping Point and Eat Well For Less.

At BBC Studios Productions, she will spearhead delivery of commercial strategy and hold overall production management responsibility for a slate including Top Gear, DIY SOS and The One Show.

She will be involved in the company’s expansion of its SVoD and AVoD services, as well as driving new business in international territories.

Brewer-Frankl will report to divisional MD Hannah Wyatt and replaces Naomi Carter, the former chief operating officer of Tinopolis, who is leaving for a change in lifestyle.
