BBC Studios Australia hires Fremantle alum Lexi Landsman for development

BBC Studios Productions Australia has expanded its development team by appointing former Fremantle executive Lexi Landsman as development executive, unscripted.

Landsman will join Deb Spinocchia’s team developing formats and originals across factual, entertainment and reality.

In her former role at Fremantle as head of development, unscripted, Landsman commissioned series including the ABC’s Tony Armstrong’s Extra-Ordinary Things.

She has also served as senior development producer at ITV Studios working across the development and commission of shows including SBS’s Alone and Sydney Airport, Network Seven’s My Kitchen Rules

She also spent 10 years at the Seven Network in factual and reality production and development.

Landsman is also an author with one of her novels currently in scripted development with another company for an adaptation into a psychological drama series.

“I am thrilled to be joining the BBC Studios team, who have grown exponentially over the past five and a half years, with the creation of 600 hours of television. I look forward to working with Deb and Kylie, and continuing their expansion of the unscripted slate of innovative and bold ideas, spanning factual, reality and entertainment,” Landsman said
