BBC Studios Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) has appointed marketing executive Sharon Wilson as director of brands and licensing.

Wilson has rejoined the BBC after most recently serving as head of Go-to-Market at marketing association ADMA. She also worked at BBC Studios and Australian Geographic in multiple marketing roles between 2010 and 2020.

In her new position, based in Sydney, Wilson will oversee brand strategy and licensing initiatives across the ANZ region, reporting to Suzy Raia, exec VP of the global consumer products team.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sharon back to BBC Studios in this pivotal role. Her deep understanding of our brands, combined with her proven expertise in strategic marketing and licensing, will be instrumental in driving growth and innovation across the ANZ region. Sharon’s collaborative leadership and passion for creativity make her the perfect fit to strengthen our consumer products and brand partnerships,” Raia said.
