BBC Studios alum Tracy Forsyth joins Indigo Talent to coach new TV execs

Former BBC Studios (BBCS) executive turned exec coach and career consultant Tracy Forsyth has joined global executive search company Indigo Talent.

Forsyth, who left BBCS in 2018 having been genre director for factual entertainment and formats, will deliver ‘onboarding’ coaching for London-based Indigo Talent.

Forsyth is an International Coaching Federation professionally certified coach with 30 years’ experience as a senior leader. She is a board advisor to multiple companies including Channel 4’s Indie Growth Fund and director of mentoring at Women in Film & TV.

During her time at BBCS, Forsyth worked on shows including Dancing with the Stars and Top Gear. Before joining the commercial arm of the UK pubcaster in 2012 she worked for UKTV.

Indigo Talent specialises in searching for creative industry leaders for scripted and non-scripted production companies.

Founder and managing partner of Indigo Talent, Jude Thompson, said: “This is a strategically important move for us as experience shows that during the first 100 days of a new role, structured coaching increases the speed of a new leader’s adaptation and diminishes possible challenges to joining a new culture.”

Forsyth, a qualified yoga teacher and creator of the corporate wellbeing workshop Yoga in the Boardroom, added: “In a volatile and increasingly uncertain, complex world, it is more important than ever for senior executives to feel clear and confident about their own leadership skills as they start a new role and have the space to create a strategy on how to deliver world-class leadership, effectiveness and impact for the company.

“Onboarding coaching involves creating a confidential sounding board for leaders to clarify what they want to achieve and how they want to do that when they enter a new company, rather than becoming overwhelmed by that company’s culture.”
