BBC Storyville orders Black Lives Matter-themed doc feature White Man Walking

White Man Walking is produced by Osun Group

UK pubcaster the BBC has commissioned feature-length documentary White Man Walking for its international factual strand BBC Storyville.

Produced by Luti Fagbenle’s new London-based prodco Osun Group, it will premiere on BBC Four and streamer iPlayer on May 27 to mark the fifth anniversary of George Floyd’s death.

The film follows white filmmaker Rob Bliss as he walks across America wearing a Black Lives Matter t-shirt, confronting hostility, armed Trump supporters and moments of connection along the way.

Ahead of White Man Walking’s UK premiere, Arte has acquired rights for Germany and France. Mediawan Rights is handling international distribution.
