Aquarius Films’ Born to Spy was created by Justine Flynn

The BBC has become the latest broadcaster to acquire Australian kids’ action-comedy series Born to Spy from distributor ABC Commercial.

Shot in Sydney, Born to Spy (10×30’) comes from independent producer Aquarius Films and was created by Justine Flynn. The show focuses on siblings living ordinary lives until they find their parents are in fact international spies.

The show has already been picked up by TVNZ in New Zealand and SVT in Sweden and is now headed to the BBC’s iPlayer service in the UK.

Other deals are currently being finalised in the US, Asia and Canada, according to ABC Commercial, the distribution arm of the Australian public broadcaster.
