BBC, Oz streamer Stan, Acorn TV uncover more Hidden Assets from DCD Rights

Screen Ireland and Creative Europe MEDIA co-funded Hidden Assets S2

CONTENT LONDON: The BBC in the UK, Australian streamer Stan and Acorn TV have all picked up rights to the second season of crime drama Hidden Assets.

The drama will air on the UK pubcaster early next month, along with Aussie pubcaster SBS, TV4 in Sweden and TV2 in Norway. Acorn has taken rights to the show in New Zealand.

The deals were announced by London-based distributor DCD Rights here at C21’s Content London event today.

The 12×60’ series is produced by Saffron Moon, Facet4Media and Potemkino for Irish public broadcaster RTÉ, Super Channel and Acorn TV.

It is written by Peter McKenna (Kin, Red Rock), Morna Regan, Mary Fox and Marthy Thornton, and is directed by Emmy-nominated Thaddeus O’Sullivan (Into The Storm, Silent Witness) and Belgian director Kadir Ferati Balci (Cold Courage).

The second season was co-funded by Screen Ireland and Creative Europe MEDIA. It stars Nora-Jane Noone (The Ipcress File, My Sailor My Love), Wouter Hendrickx (Undercover, Blackout) and Simone Kirby (His Dark Materials, Peaky Blinders).
