BBC orders Elizabeth Taylor doc exec produced by Kim Kardashian

The BBC in the UK has commissioned a three-part documentary series about Elizabeth Taylor executive produced by Kim Kardashian.

Elizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar (working title) comes from London-based factual outfit Passion Pictures (Wham!).

It details the life and career of the late actress and Hollywood icon, the star of films such as Cleopatra and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

Alongside unseen TV footage and never-before-heard audio tapes, the series also features Kardashian conducting Taylor’s last interview before her death in 2011.

Joining Kardashian as executive producers are Kari Lia and Hamish Fergusson. Fremantle is handling international distribution.

Alistair Pegg, commissioning editor at the BBC, said: “This exciting series promises a new understanding of Elizabeth Taylor – both her technique and power as an actor, and her capacity for reinventing herself.”
