BBC One heads for The Finish Line

NEWS BRIEF: UK pubcaster BBC One has commissioned daytime quizshow The Finish Line, to be filmed in Belfast by ITV Studios-backed prodco Potato (The Chase, Ninja Warrior) and Belfast-based label Nice One Productions (Lightning).

Set to be broadcast later this year on BBC One, the format will see contestants compete on a racetrack set, speeding along the studio floor in a series of quiz races. Executive producers are Michael Kelpie and Adam Adler for Potato, plus Chris Jones for Nice One Productions. Head of BBC daytime and early peak commissioning Rob Unsworth said: “We look forward to announcing the fantastic faces who’ll be fronting this exciting new quiz very soon.”
