NEWS BRIEF: BBC Three and BBC Northern Ireland have commissioned We Built a Zoo, a new 1×60’ obs doc following TikTok star Kyle Thomas as he attempts to build a real-life zoo for his exotic animal collection.

Irish production company Waddell Media is following the quest by the 19-year-old influencer, who has 34.8 million followers but has previously drawn controversy for his clips of animals. We Built a Zoo was commissioned by Eddie Doyle and Mary McKeagney for BBC Northern Ireland and Fiona Campbell, controller of youth audience for BBC iPlayer and BBC Three, with the support from Northern Ireland Screen.
