RTL-owned European production group Fremantle has revealed its slate for this month’s London TV Screenings, including real-time thriller Nightsleeper.

Produced by Euston Films (Wreck) for BBC One, the 6×60’ series focuses on two people who have never met before working together to save the lives of passengers on a hijacked train.

Other scripted highlights include Amalfi Coast-set action series Costiera (working title), made by Lux Vide (Blanca); season two of BBC One police drama The Responder, produced by Dancing Ledge Productions; Wreck, from Euston Films; Sullivan’s Crossing, from Reel World Management, CTV and Fremantle; and the last season of My Brilliant Friend, made by The Apartment Pictures, Wildside and Fandango.

Factual titles include Passion Picture’s recently announced Elizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar (wt), commissioned by BBC Two and BBC Arts; and A Brief History of the Future, produced by DreamCrew, Futurific Studios and philanthropist Wendy Schmidt.

Fremantle’s entertainment roster includes prodco Naked’s Zante-set reality format Hot Mess Summer and dating series Sense of Attraction, produced by Strong.

Finally, returning shows include Jimmy Fallon-hosted word association game Password and hit musical reality format The Piano, which is set to launch in Denmark and the Netherlands this year.

Fremantle Presents, the group’s London TV Screenings showcase, will be held on Friday March 1 at Odeon Leicester Square and Odeon Luxe West End.

Jens Richter, CEO commercial and international at Fremantle, said: “In a competitive and changing global market, you have to stand out. Not only is this slate of shows incredibly rich and compelling, but it proves once again that Fremantle is the home of great talent, great production values and great partnership.”

Andrew Llinares, director of global entertainment at Fremantle, added: “With buzzy, noisy new shows as well as new adaptations of existing IP and hit returning series; this line-up is truly broad and adaptable for the current landscape.

“With Fremantle’s best-in-class production skills and unscripted know-how, we have shows that can work for all platforms and budgets.”
