Unforgotten (working title, 3×60’) takes two people brought together by natural disasters or wars and then separated and follows their quest to find the person who made such an impact on their lives.

The series is hosted by Anita Rani and will use archive footage and advice from social historians and relevant experts to reunite the two people.

Unforgotten will be produced by Tin Roof Media-owned Blink Films and exec produced by Justine Kershaw, with UK-based distributor All3Media International handling global sales. The series was commissioned for BBC2 by Simon Young.

Kershsaw, co-founder and creative director at Blink Films, said: “By focusing on the personal stories of people caught up and then separated by extraordinary events, Unforgotten provides viewers with a uniquely emotional and relatable take on key moments in our recent history.”
