CONTENT STRATEGIES: Uncovering programming opportunities worldwide

BBC America brings radio quiz to TV

BBC America is bringing US radio station NPR’s award-winning radio quizshow Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me! to TV screens with a one-hour special airing next month.

The programme, a coproduction between BBC America, NPR and Chauncey Street Productions, will go out on BBC America on December 23, with NPR to play it back on its radio stations over the Christmas weekend.

The programme will feature a panel of US and UK talent, including comedians Paula Poundstone and Alonzo Bodden and will look back at the year’s top news stories from a US and UK perspective.

The production is part of an original content drive by BBC America. This includes new comedy panel show Would You Rather? with Graham Norton, which is due to debut on December 3, and scripted drama Copper, to air next year.
