The BBC has bought 1,000 episodes of One Piece

NEWS BRIEF: The BBC has acquired over 1,000 episodes of legendary Japanese anime series One Piece, making the pubcaster the only official home in the UK to dubbed versions of the adventure story.

The Japanese anime television series, produced by Toei Animation, is based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga series of the same name, which is the number one manga in the world with over 500 million copies sold and over 100 volumes published. It has been on air since 1999.
