Bayle rolls into Endemol France

Banijay-owned Endemol France has appointed M6 veteran Matthieu Bayle as its director of programmes.

Matthieu Bayle

Bayle spent over a decade with French broadcast group M6, holding roles including director of programming made by external producers.

Bayle also co-directed talent show Popstars and served as programme director at Studio 89 during his time at M6 Group. Prior to that he worked at Canal+ and France Télévisions.

Jean-Louis Blot, president of Endemol France, said Bayle’s experience in different areas of the French audiovisual market made him ideally suited to the role.

Blot joined the production and distribution giant towards the end of 2020 to spearhead its unscripted operations, having previously launched BBC Worldwide Productions France in 2008 and Warner Bros International Television Production France.

Endemol France produces series including Patron Incognito, La Meilleure Boulangerie de France and Lego Masters for M6, as well as Baby Boom and Miss France for TF1 and Prodiges, Les Enfants de la Télé and Les Enfants de la Musique for France Télévisions.

M6 Group, meanwhile, is set to be merged with TF1 Group in France, following a deal between each group’s respective parent companies, RTL Group and Bouygues Group.
