Bavaria Fiction taps X Filme’s Maximiliane Prokop as executive producer

Bavaria Film and ZDF Studios-owned Bavaria Fiction in Germany is adding X Filme Creative Pool producer Maximiliane Prokop as an executive producer.

Berlin-based Prokop will join Bavaria Fiction’s executive producer team on April 1 and report to Marcus Ammon, managing director of content.

Prokop most recently worked as a producer at X Filme Creative Pool on projects including ZDF series Doktor Ballouz, RTL event series Das Haus der Träume, ZDF political thriller Furia and ARD miniseries Tina Mobil.

Prior to that, she worked as a junior producer at Constantin Film and additionally as Bora Dagtekin’s personal assistant during the filming of The Perfect Secret and Suck Me Shakespeer 3.

Prokop’s path first crossed with Bavaria Fiction during her studies when she supported several executive producers in content and logistics and also worked on various film sets.

Das Boot, Arctic Circle and Freud producer Bavaria Fiction is headed by managing directors Ammon and Jan S Kaiser and has its headquarters in Munich with other bases in Cologne, Stuttgart and Berlin.

Prokop said: “My goal is to produce bold, authentic entertainment that sensitively reflects our current times. I am particularly interested in developing and executing projects with a cross-media approach.”

Ammon added: “Thanks to her wide experience in TV and film, Maximiliane is a great addition to our team of executive producers.
