Barcroft makes Strong addition

UK-based producer Barcroft Studios has hired an executive from British digital media group Jungle Creations as its head of commercial.

Mitch Strong

Mitch Strong will lead the company’s branded content push in the newly created role, reporting to Barcroft chief creative officer Alex Morris.

Strong will develop brand partnerships across the company’s portfolio of digital series. He was most recently head of agency sales and trading director at Jungle Creations, where he had been for four years. His role was focused on driving commercial growth and directing the company’s commercial teams.

“Brands are now looking for social publishers that go above and beyond ‘mass reach’ and ‘scale’ and instead want to connect with deeply engaged, premium audiences – Barcroft Studios has just that,” Strong said.

Barcroft has previously produced branded content for clients including Emirates, FC Barcelona, McDonalds, Samsung, Unilever, Skoda and Sony PlayStation.

Strong’s arrival follows other recent senior management appointments including former Nerd TV founder John Farrar as creative director and former Vice Studios VP of programming Al Brown as executive producer for the company’s 4Real output for Channel 4.
