Banijay Live’s sporting events firm Balich Wonder Studio appoints new CEO

Balich Wonder Studio (BWS), part of Banijay Live, has appointed Carlo Noseda as its new CEO following the departure of Stefano Core.

Noseda will join BWS on March 1 from M&C Saatchi Group Europe, which he built and has led as CEO since 2010, while also serving on the global executive leadership team of M&C Saatchi Group.

With offices in Milan, Paris, Dubai and Riyadh, BWS was acquired by Banijay Entertainment in 2023 and now sits as part of its Banijay Live portfolio, led by CEO François de Brugada. Both units sit under the leadership of Banijay CEO Marco Bassetti.

In the past 18 months, BWS has produced the ceremonies for sporting events such as the FIFA Club World Cup in the US and, most recently, the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, which began last week.

It has also worked on live experiences with brands such as Buccellati, Samsung, Dolce & Gabbana, Ferrari and Bulgari.

Core, whose departure was confirmed this week, joined BWS in 2019 and oversaw the live event business’s growth strategy and operations, specifically reinforcing its presence in the Middle East, where its clients include The Islamic Games and Misk Global Forum.

Banijay Entertainment’s move into live events via Banijay Live has provided the production and distribution giant with an alternative revenue stream at a time when TV commissions have been harder to come by, while it has made a major push into online sports betting via Banijay Games in recent years.

Marco Balich, chairman of BWS, said: “As we accelerate our expansion and diversification plans, we were seeking a strategic leader with the vision and capabilities to guide the business into its next phase of commercial success.

“In our new CEO, we have a globally experienced, multidisciplinary executive with a proven ability to drive innovation and growth at scale. We are excited to partner with him as we embark on this new chapter.”
