Banijay lands Diana doc

The show uses stunt professionals to reconstruct key events

UK-based distributor Banijay Rights has acquired rights to a French factual special that promises to reveal new facts behind Princess Diana’s death as the 20th anniversary of her passing approaches.

Diana: The Truth Behind Her Death (1×60′, working title) is produced by Tony Comiti for M6 in France and claims to “unlock the answers to Diana’s fate through a series of shocking revelations.”

The show features interviews with contributors and witnesses, including members of the investigation team and emergency services who were first to arrive on the scene of the car crash that caused her death in Paris in 1997.

Emily Elisha, head of factual at Banijay Rights, said the show “presents a thorough investigation and sheds new light on this monumental event that shook the world.”
