Banijay Kids’ Movimenti Production bolsters senior leadership team with three hires

L-R: Cristiana Buzzelli, Alessandra Principini and Federico Rognoni

Italy-based Movimenti Production, part of Banijay Kids & Family, has hired three senior executives.

The production and animation company has named Cristiana Buzzelli as chief operating officer, Alessandra Principini as fundraiser and Federico Rognoni as chief financial officer.

Movimenti co-CEOs and co-creative directors Giorgio Scorza and Davide Rosio will continue to lead the organisation.

Reporting to Scorza, Buzzelli will oversee the management of the company’s IP, from the financing and coproduction stage to market launch. Buzzelli joins Movimenti after a long tenure at Italian toon house Rainbow, most recently as senior VP of contents and licensing.

Principini, meanwhile, was most recently responsible for fundraising activities at 3D Produzioni. She is tasked with further growing Movimenti Production’s connection with film commissions and institutions on opportunities related to funding and beyond.

Rognoni will manage the economic activity at Movimenti and its subsidiaries, 2D animation studio DogHead Animation and 3D production company MoBo. He previously held senior financial roles as Viacom and Discovery.

Established in 2004 with bases in Milan, Florence, Rome and Bari, Movimenti Production has created and produced animated TV series, feature films and short films including Topo Gigio (Rai) and Netflix duo Tear Along the Dotted Line and This World Can’t Tear Me Down.
