Banijay Benelux boosts factual library in deal with Posh Productions’ Jessica Villerius

The Benelux branch of European production giant Banijay has bolstered its library of factual content by agreeing a partnership with documentary maker Jessica Villerius.

Villerius is the founder of Dutch label Posh Productions, which has made docs including The Last Word and four-part series The Children of Ruinerwold, both for local pubcaster NPO.

Posh Productions content will feed into the Banijay catalogue to build its portfolio of socially relevant stories with international appeal.

“Thanks to the collaboration with Banijay Benelux, I can work with the team to bolster the distribution of my documentaries, films and series,” Villerius said.

“Jessica is a distinctive and committed documentary maker and has built a genre with a completely unique style,” said Pete Lubbers, CEO of Banijay Benelux.

It follows a similar deal for scripted content that Banijay Benelux struck with Dutch prodco Topkapi last week.
