Bad Robots arrive at UK’s E4

UK broadcaster Channel 4 (C4) has commissioned a hidden camera show about pieces of everyday technology infuriating their users for its youth-skewing network E4.

Bad Robots, from All3Media-owned Objective Productions, features a host of everyday machines ranging from tanning booths to photo machines being used to create infuriating situations and computer-generated pranks for its users.

The six-episode series was created by Bafta-winning producer Nathan Eastwood who is also exec producing alongside Andrew Newman.

Phil Clarke, C4’s head of comedy, said: “The strength of Bad Robots is the simplicity of its idea – it’s a show about everyday machines pranking people.”

Bad Robots is directed by Paul Routledge, produced by Ben Spiteri and has been commissioned by Laura Riseum.
